The Q9 Take-Away EPOS pack is our comprehensive solution for fast food takeaways. This advanced system is pre-loaded with the latest SamTouch EPoS software to comprehensively meet the requirements of busy takeaways and includes the Sam4s Astra Self-Service Kiosk with OrderKiosk app.
It includes functions to handle takeaway / collection and eat-in restaurant transactions.
The Q9 is perfect for use in busy takeaways such as chicken shops, dessert parlours, sandwich shops, burger bars, pizza takeaway business and all types of restaurants (indian, chinese, persian, arabic etc) where you require fast, secure and accurate processing of over the counter transactions and self-service ordering.
The system includes fast Point-of-Sale functions, stock control, comprehensive sales reporting, staff performance monitoring, financial accounting reports and a range of sales analysis reports to give you total management control.
It features the latest modern-design high-performance
Sam4s Sapphire 15" Touchscreen POS Terminal with its slimline design, waterproof front, silent operation and fast performance running Windows. Available in either white casing colour or dark grey.
The
Sam4s Astra 21.5" Self Service Kiosk includes integrated ticket printer, scanner for QR-codes, vouchers and coupons, and vandal-proof card machine bracket. It is supplied with a counter-top stand. You can optionally add a wall-mount bracket kit or the stylish white floor stand. With the counter-top units and floor stand, multiple self-service kiosks can be positioned back to back if desired.
As standard, the Q9 package also includes a full-size robust Cash Drawer, and a fast Sam4s Thermal Receipt Printer. The receipt printer can print both till receipts and order tickets, or you can add additional kitchen printers to the system.
The solid technical specification, branded hardware and the established EPoS software and self-service kiosk app enable the Q9 to provide many years of reliable use for your business.
Order Numbers: Each transaction - whether taken at the POS counter, on a Self Service Kiosk, on the optional Online Ordering app or Smartphone App - is allocated an order number within the same sequence at that branch that is printed on a ticket for the customer and another for the kitchen. Your staff then either call out the Order Number, or use the optional large screen
Order Collection Display that shows the collection status of each order when used with the optional Kitchen Display System.

You can then optionally add additional POS terminals (from £990 each) with card payment machine, additional self-service kiosks (from £1475 each) with card payment machine, waiter tablets, kitchen printers, kitchen display system, other accessories and services as listed in the next section.
New Equipment Only:
Please note you cannot re-use any existing equipment or any equipment you have purchased elsewhere with our Q9 system. By our supplying all components of the system we can guarantee compatibility, setup everything quickly and easily, and we can take full responsibility for support of all items.
Dojo Merchant Account:
A Dojo or Teya merchant account will be required for the 2 card machines. You will be required to set up a new merchant account and pay the usual monthly fees and card transaction charges - we will arrange a preferential quote for you beforehand. If you opt to use your own Dojo or Teya merchant account and card machines then an integration charge and support fees will apply - see details below.
Network Cabling:
You will require your own Ethernet network cabling for each device at your store, a router / switch with the required number of available RJ45 ports and internet service.
Annual Subscription Fees
The counter-top POS system itself with the SamTouch POS software has no annual charges as the POS software comes with a lifetime permanent license.
For the back-office module SamTouchOffice and the OrderKiosk app which are both cloud-based and therefore require ongoing web server services, these software services (Saas) have an annual subscription fee.
There are no annual fees payable for the 1st year as they are already included in the package price. After the 1st year, the subscription fees are as below:

The annual fees are payable each year for all your devices at each branch. We will send you a reminder and payment link 21 days before expiry. We do not offer monthly subscriptions or part period subscriptions, only annual subscriptions. There are no part refunds if a subscription is cancelled during the year. Subscriptions are not transferable.
The fee also covers help desk support for both the SamTouch POS system, the SamTouch Office back-office module and the OrderKiosk self-service kiosks.

Setup & Training Services
As part of the free Service Pack, your food/drinks menu will initially be setup by us remotely and uploaded to your POS system and self-service kiosks. This allows upto 150 menu items/variations. For larger menus, please contact us with details for a setup quote.
Typically, for Standard Programming of the POS system and Self-Service Kiosks, the turnaround time is 21-28 days from our receipt of your Food/Drinks menu, the completed Programming Form and the required images for branding, products and related graphics.
Once the programming work is completed, we will arrange your remote training session. On-site services for setup and training at your branch premises are available at an additional cost - please contact us with your postcode for a quote.
Graphic Design not included:
Our POS Terminal and Self-Service Kiosk setup service does not include graphic design of your banner images, advertising graphics, product images or any photography work. You will need to provide us the required individual JPG images in the specified format, in consistent proportion and background setting for each of your menu items so the end results looks professional. Alternatively we can refer you to a professional graphic designer who can offer design services to you.
Please note: We cannot take images from any third-party source. We cannot extract and edit images from a website, catalogue or other document, brochure, flyer or hardcopy. We will not be able to use third-party copyright images without written permission of the owner. .
Card Payment Processing
For the self-service kiosks, you will require a Dojo merchant account arranged through ourselves to obtain a compatible card machine and integrate it with the kiosk. We will first arrange a competitive quotation for you for the monthly merchant account fees and transaction charges, based on your monthly sales turnover. This quote will need to be then agreed by you before the Q9 system can be set up.
Merchant Account: if you wish to use your existing Dojo or Teya account or a merchant account arranged through another provider using a compatible card machine, then there will be a £200 initial charge from us to integrate it with our kiosk system. In addition, if you have not arranged the card processing merchant account through us then additional support fees at our standard hourly fee rate would apply each time you require any technical support assistance related to the card machine integration.
SamTouch Hospitality POS Software
The included SamTouch POS software has a comprehensive set of point of sale functions and reports for hospitality use at bars, cafes, takeaways and restaurants. It is user-friendly with a modern colourful interface and is highly intuitive to use. It allows you to sell products by easy on-screen menu selection with pop-up windows for condiments, modifiers and optional extras.
You can have different sizes (eg. Regular/Large, Pint/Half Pint, 125/175/250ml, Cup/Mug/Pot). You can add Order Comments (eg. No Onions, Extra Mayo, Sauce on side etc) and Steak Cooking Instructions. For sandwiches, wraps, burgers and kebabs you can specify your own popup choice lists of salad items and sauces for With, Without and Extra to ensure you get your customers order exactly right each time. Set Meals can be defined with multiple choices (eg. With Tea / With Coffee, With Capuccino £1 more) or selection lists for different Starters, Mains, Desserts. Extras can be set to be with or without an additional price.
The SamTouch POS software includes a Graphical Table Plan with colour-coded table status and support for multiple zones such as bar, restaurant, balcony, garden, lounge, hotel rooms, cabins etc.
It supports Meal Deals, Discounts, Refunds, Service Charges, Bar Tabs and Promotions.
Numerous sales analysis, takings, accounting, stock and management reports can be generated to view on screen, print to the mini printer or an A4 printer, or Export to Excel and other formats. Staff timekeeping module is included with working hours reports for wages calculation and ability to control access for different parts of the system.
You have full Manager Mode access with password levels to add new products, change prices, change screen layouts, configure system options and access the full set of reports for viewing on-screen, printing to a receipt printer or A4 printer, or exporting to Microsoft Excel format.

No Monthly or Annual License Fees
The Permanent License for the SamTouch POS software means there are no ongoing fees to pay each month or each year. You buy the whole retail POS system outright as a package - hardware and software. There are no product limits or sales capacity limits or feature restrictions. You do not require internet access to use the system or reliance on any web server - everything is locally stored on your POS terminal for fastest operation and you can backup to USB media or to your own cloud storage account.
Note: if you opt for the cloud-based SamTouchOffice back office system or additional 3rd-party modules then those optional cloud-based facilities do have annual subscription fees. We will always clearly notify you prior to purchase if there are any ongoing fees with any optional modules you choose.
Multiple Terminals & Branches
If you wish to have multiple retail POS terminals these are networked together so they share one database. You can add new products or update prices from any of the terminals. Operators can 'float' between terminals to start/continue a transaction. You can obtain individual terminal reports or consolidated reports.
Countertop terminals and handheld wireless devices can be combined on the same network.
For multiple store operators, we recommend the optional cloud back office module SamTouch Office. This provides centralised live reporting, centralised system management with common or branch-specific product pricing and enhanced stock management with purchasing features, stock transfers / delivery notes, barcode/product label printing and more. Note: for this optional cloud-based module an annual subscription fee does apply as it requires ongoing use of the SamTouch Office web server and also requires internet access.
